Epoint Becomes the First Azerbaijani Fintech to Enter the Georgian Market

Epoint has obtained an official license from the National Bank of Georgia to provide acquiring services for accepting card payments within the country. As a result, Georgia has become the first foreign market within the company’s international expansion strategy.

Over the course of approximately one year, the Epoint team worked on adapting the product to the requirements of the Georgian market, implementing bank integrations, and preparing the necessary legal and regulatory documentation. Following the successful completion of the preparation phase, the company officially commenced operations in Georgia.

The acquired license enables Epoint’s partners operating in both Azerbaijan and Georgia to accept online and offline card payments in both countries through a single technical integration. This approach significantly simplifies operational processes and reduces costs for regional entrepreneurs.

Entering the Georgian market is considered a new stage in Epoint’s regional development.

“Entering the Georgian market is a key milestone in Epoint’s international expansion strategy. Our goal is to build a unified, flexible, and secure payment infrastructure for businesses across the region. With this license, our partners operating in both Azerbaijan and Georgia will be able to accept online and offline card payments through a single technical integration,” said Zeynal Karimzade, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Epoint.
